Blanket - In the folk song Maria Altatója (Mary’s Lullaby), the narrator looks up into the sky and has a vision of the Virgin Mary sitting in heaven and singing a lullaby to baby Jesus. The way this place is described always felt empty and somber to me; it made me imagine the narrator seeing the scene in a dark, grey winter sky. I wanted to capture the image here.
